Wald International takes on Rolls, Porsche, Jaguar, BMW and Infiniti... all at the same time
Tuners typically roll out one package at a time. When a big tuner show like SEMA comes around, maybe a couple at a time. But Japanese tuning firm Wald International is launching five body kits for some of the most desirable top-of-the-line luxury sedans, all at the same time. Included in Wald's plans are aero kits for the Rolls-Royce Ghost, Porsche Panamera, Infiniti M, Jaguar XJ and BMW 7 Series. Throw in a Quattroporte, Mercedes CLS, maybe a Bentley and the Aston Martin Rapide in there and they'd have the whole kit and kaboodle ... Read more →

Artist transforming Hummer into horse cart, i.e. why we love modern art [w/video] 9 days ago on Autoblog
In 1948 American born artist Man Ray wrote, "There is no progress in art, any more than there is progress in making love. There are simply different ways of doing it." This is nearly 30 years after he glued some spikes to the bottom of an iron and called it art. And you know what? We couldn't ...
Brabus GL 63 Biturbo picks up where Mercedes AMG leaves off 10 days ago on Autoblog
The performance boffins over at AMG keep themselves pretty busy, churning out high-output versions of just about every vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz line-up. Just about, but not quite. For example, if you want a GL-Class family-hauler with the division's stonking 6.3-liter V8 engine, you're SOL. ...

Video: Leaping SEMA truck proves the meek and well engineered shall inherit the earth 11 days ago on Autoblog
Oh dear. See that big bad truck up above? It's about to jump over some dirt. The landing is not going to go well. How not well? According to our sources you are looking at $350,000 worth of truck. We're not modified truck experts, but we'd be willing to guess that the truck is worth ...
Shiver Me Timbers: G-Power launches BMW X5 Typhoon "Black Pearl" 11 days ago on Autoblog
Remember when SUVs were actually designed to go off road? Nah, we don't either. Who are we kidding? That was long before BMW got into the game, and where there's a Bimmer, there's a tuner. G-Power is relatively new to the game that the likes of Dinan, AC Schnitzer, et al have been playing for ...

From Thailand with Love: Aston Martin DBS replica based on Opel Calibra 12 days ago on Autoblog
If James Bond were real, we wouldn't recommend trying to impersonate him. We get the feeling that 007 wouldn't take to impostors very well. Fortunately he's a fictional character – or so we're led to believe – so the gloves are off. If you're planning on pulling off the Bond look, ...

Because the Ariel Atom simply isn't mental enough and there simply isn't enough crazy in the world, South Carolina-based tuners DDMWorks had to go and twin-charge it: a Borg-Warner turbo mated to a Harrop supercharger. An Atom weighs 1,375 from the factory, and with over 300 horsepower on tap, ...

2011 Shelby GT350 live at Barrett-Jackson 17 days ago on Autoblog
The 2011 Shelby GT350 seemed to have a polarizing effect when it debuted at Barrett-Jackson's opening gala event on Monday night. Some of you loved it and others instantly objected to everything from the looks of the car to the $33,995 price tag that doesn't include the base car. With 500 ...
9ff GTurbo mods Porsche GT3 up to 1,000 horsepower 18 days ago on Autoblog
There's a fine line between a sportscar and a supercar. Porsche is one of the few automakers that straddles the line, but an elite cadre of tuners seem to take pleasure in laying down strips of burnt rubber to blur it beyond recognition. Names like Gemballa and Ruf come to mind, but 9ff has ...

The Lexus IS F is a curious car. 416 bristling horsepower, one of the world's sweetest-sounding engines and an 8-speed flappy-paddle 'box that shifts faster than you blink are all excellent. However, it looks a little odd, has funny tailpipes and weighs too much. That last little bit - the IS ...
